Let's talk about ME

My name is Grace. I love a lot of things. I've started many a hobby that I never followed through with, but my desire and need to create has been externalized through photography for over a decade now.

I don't like the mainstream, traditional approach to portraits and especially wedding photography. I'm much more interested in what is real and true, not putting you in a weird pose to meet the status quo.

some things I love..(and don't)


hiking. and i mean really hiking. like 15-20 mile, 10-12 hour day hikes. i love the ocean. Big boogie boarding girl. I'm into making leather journals. i've made a few for friends that i'm really proud of. I consider it of utmost importance to chronicle my life in writing. if i don't write something down i Probably will forget it, and i know it will be fascinating to read about my life now in 10, 20, 30+ years. I love to read when i get the gumption to sit down and actually do it. I love movies, especially one's that move me in some way. i love coffee and learning about it.


as mentioned above i do not love cookie cutter wedding and portrait Photography. i think life is interesting enough on it's own and i Don't want to water it down and make it less interesting by imposing what the world Deems to be "the right way" to Photograph on you and your life.

When I'm not taking your photo....

There's a good chance you'll find me moonlighting, well, daylighting really, as a barista. I've been a barista for years now and it's a constant learning experience. There aren't many things that bring me more joy than pouring a beautiful latte. I'm still working on my swan, though.

I know nobody asked but my go-to drinks are a flat white, black drip coffee, or a fancy iced latte of some sort.
